Theme: A Moment in Time

Find a picture (online, magazines, internet, ect...) or take a picture, then using your own LEGO blocks duplicate that picture.

Once your creation is complete, bring it and the picture to the Bartlesville Library, Meeting Room A, on Friday, April 29th between 11:30 am and 5:00 pm or Saturday, April 30th between 9:00 am and 11:00 am.

Public viewing will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 30th, with an awards ceremony to follow at 2:00 pm. Refreshments will be served.

Winning entries will be displayed in the library lobby from May 1st through May 25th.

Eligibility:
Open to all ages, even adults. Any LEGO style building brick will be accepted, they do not have to be LEGO brand.

The theme is “A Moment in Time” you must bring in your picture to display with your LEGO creations. It does not have to be framed, but that would make it easier to display. NO PICTURE, NO ENTRY.

No vulgar or pornographic images will be accepted. Whether an image is considered vulgar or pornographic will be up to the library’s discretion.

There will be a point system this year.

LEGO entries that do not meet size requirements will not be disqualified, but will have points deducted from their overall score. Any entry, winning or not, that is too big for the display case will NOT be displayed.

Entries must be dropped off at the library on Friday, April 29th between 11:30 am and 5:00 pm or Saturday, April 30th between 9:00 am and 11:00 am in Meeting Room A (upstairs).

No entries will be allowed after 11:00 am on Saturday, April 30th.

After dropping off your entry, you will be given a receipt. Be prepared to show this receipt or have a parent with a photo I.D. when picking up your entry. This way we can prevent any confusion.

Winning entries will be displayed in the library lobby from May 1st through May 24th. Winning contestants will need to pick up their entries on May 25th. Entries not picked up on May 25th will be taken to the staff workroom and contestants will be called.

Photos of winners with their entries will be posted on the library blogs, in the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise, and other media outlets. If you don’t want your picture posted to the public please let us know ahead of time.

Non-winning entries can be taken home April 30th after 3:00 pm.

Size Regulations:

Category 1 (K-4th grade):
• Entries must be no larger than 1’ x 2’ and no taller than 4’
Category 2 (5th grade – 8th grade):
• Entries must be no larger than 1’ x 3’ and no taller than 4’
Category 3 (9th grade – adults):
• Entries must be no larger than 2’ x 3’ and no taller than 4’
