This page-turning adventure is a must read! Take me to the River is an exciting account of a fourteen-year-old boy, Dylan, and his cousin, Rio, who travel to Big Bend National Park, on the Texas-Mexico border, to paddle the Rio Grande.
An element of danger enters the picture as six Black Hawk helicopters appear and race across the river into Mexico. All the army will tell the boys is that there is a hurricane approaching the Gulf of Mexico; but the two are so dead set on making the trip that they can't give it up.
