Dear Bully - 70 Authors Tell Their Story edited by Megan Kelly Hall and Carrie Jones
BULLYINGAs we travel through the trials and tribulations of adolescent social dynamics, each one of us is one of three. We are either the one bullied, the bystander, or the bully. Therefore everyone will find a story to identify with in this book Dear Bully. This is the brainchild of Carrie Jones and Megan Kelley Hall who started a facebook after the tragic suicide of Phoebe Prince of S. Hadley, Mass. Phoebe was a victim of bullying and all the stories collected through the facebook provide valuable defense strategies for all teens. Some of the proceeds from this book have gone to the organization Stomp Out Bullying which is aimed at helping victims of bullying and stopping bullying altogether.
I highly recommend this book to all teens and all who deal with teens on a regular basis. Along with this book the Bartlesville Public Library has several other resources with great stories and information. The teen display has a variety of both fiction and non-fiction books plus a list of Adult, Juvenile, and Young Adult books available on the subject of bullying. Check these out at the BPL!
