The February 2013 issue of Seventeen magazine has a great article by Kaitlin Menza with some unique ideas for Valentine fun. Who needs boys? Celebrate this holiday with the great loves of your life--your girls!
Here are some of the great ideas to do with your friends:
Have a movie Marathon! This would be the perfect opportunity to have a sleepover and watch those romantic chick flicks that you've been dying to see.
Chow down! You don't have to be a couple to get dressed up and go out for a special meal.
Play Cupid! Put all of your friend's names in a hat and let each one draw a name. Give your secret Valentine friend little gifts throughout the week.
Send a cool Valentine! use the iphone app Comic Book and create graphic images that look like they came straight out of a comic book.
DIY some love! You know those cool candy hearts that everyone loves on Valentine's day? Create a shirt using fabric paint on a pastel t-shirt and write a complimentary phrase.
Get baking! Bake some yummy cupcakes or goodies to take to school on Valentine's Day.
You can find this issue of Seventeen near the Youth Services Desk at the Bartlesville Public Library. Check it out!!
